The contest seeks for inspirational stories from VET learners, students, tutors and in-company mentors which will contribute to attracting young people to pursue vocational education and training and enhance their career perspectives.
Vocational education and training caters for the preparation of youth to successfully enter workforce and help them thrive both personally and professionally. Along these lines, NEW VET “Share your Story” contest aims to raise awareness about vocational education and training and through successful testimonies of VET students, teachers and mentors, to spread the word about the opportunities that VET can offer for many young people.
If you want to become a source of inspiration for many young people who are puzzled about their career options, share your story with us and enter our contest. You may be one of the winners who will travel to Berlin in November and meet the other winners from Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia and Greece.
Adult VET learners (above 18 years of age), teachers/tutors or in-company trainers/mentors from one of the NEW VET partner’s countries (Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia and Greece).
NEW VET project will select 3 winners from each NEW VET project country and it will cover all travel and accommodation expenses. Winners will also have the opportunity to participate in a trip in Berlin between 09 – 13 November.
Follow these simple steps to share your story:
1) Visit the EU Commission “share your story” dedicated page. This page hosts new stories (and stories from past campaigns) and you can take inspiration from people who have succeeded thanks to VET.
2) Fill in the short application form. This is your opportunity to share your success in VET and to be awarded for that! Stories can be as detailed as you wish (a few suggestions your story could include are: why you chose VET, how your journey began or what you learnt from your experience), please add an image to help tell your story.
3) Once your story has been submitted, it will be evaluated by NEW VET project partners and it may be featured on the European Vocational Skills Week dedicated stories page. It will provide inspiration to those who are considering their own journey in VET and could inspire someone to discover their talent.
4) Winners will be notified directly by e-mail. The 3 winners from each NEW VET country will be contacted directly by project partners to take part in the European Vocational Skills Week 2020.
