The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) is hosting their first ASEAN Energy Youth Award for the purpose of recognizing  the contributions of young educators to the fields of sustainable development, energy transition, and nation-building. The theme and topic for this award is “Advancing Sustainable Development and Energy Transition through Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the ASEAN Region”.

This award is organised by ACE and supported by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO)the ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN specialised energy bodies.

The award is open to ASEAN young educators including enrolled High School and University/College Students (bachelor’s degree). Both individual participants and teams are eligible to apply. There is no limit on the number of  members in a team. Each school can submit entry in 3 categories (video, essay or a poster/infographic design). However, the individual/team can only participate in 1 category.

For each category (video, essay or poster/infographic) there will be one chosen winner and 3 runner-ups. All the awardees will be invited to participate in ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF), ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM), Gala Dinner in Vietnam and they will receive Trophies presented by the The Board of Judges (BoJ). Awardees will also receive certificates from the ACE for their participation in this event.
