The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is an inter-governmental organization mandated with the widespread and increased adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Director, KPFC and direct supervision of the Senior Programme Officer (Statistics), the Associate Professional (Statistics) will be responsible for the following duties:

Qualifications

Applicants should be no more than 32 years of age at the time of submitting their applications.

Education: A first-level university degree or a Masters degree (or equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, or related field. A first-level university degree or a Masters degree in other subjects may also be acceptable in combination with qualifying experience.

Experience: Experience in the collection, compilation, analysis, and dissemination of statistics. Also, a high level of proficiency in Excel and knowledge of VBA programming would be an advantage. Furthermore, experience in managing and manipulating large datasets and good knowledge of methodologies for energy statistics is desirable.

Language: Excellent command of both written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an advantage
