Apply for the Vacancy for Programme Management Officer at UNEP in the UAE. The deadline for the application is 10th September 2020. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the United Nations systems designated entity for addressing environmental issues at the global and regional levels. Additionally, its mandate is to coordinate the development of environmental policy consensus by keeping the global environment under review and bringing emerging issues to the attention of governments and the international community for action.

Duties

Qualifications for Vacancy for Programme Management Officer

Education

Advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent) in biology, ecology, zoology or environmental studies and/or a field related to species conservation and management. Also, a first degree, in combination with two (2) years of additional qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advance university degree.

Work Experience

Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the field of species conservation and management or related area, of which up to three (3) years should be made in an international work setting such as an intergovernmental or international conservation organization.

Likewise, experience with avian conservation issues.

Also, experience with raptor conservation issues is desirable.
