Jusoor in cooperation with the Sanad Entrepreneurship Academy is offering a training program for Syrians and Jordanian startup owners in Jordan, Jusoor can help you scale your business into a flourishing company during the COVID-19 Pandemic! This year, Jusoor is selecting early-stage companies to join its 3-month, Small-Business accelerator providing training, hands-on mentorship, connection to investment, and access to the Jusoor network for life.

The Accelerator Experience:

The Small Business Accelerator offers online training, on reliable business know-how, for digital marketing, SME operations, and management for Jordanian and Syrian (based in Jordan) businesses and entrepreneurs.

  • SME Bootcamp and business analysis of your company.
  • Technical support for the digital presence of your company.
  • In-kind funding to support you to develop your marketing and branding.
  • 1-on-1 Business Coaching for 8 weeks.
  • Access to funding opportunities.
  • Present your company at the Jusoor Conference.

Working with Jusoor Mentors!

Once you’re selected for the Jusoor SME accelerator, you’ll be part of Jusoor community for life. Expand your business and your network with access to a talented group of founders, investors, mentors, and industry leaders.

Get support from Mentors in the areas of:

  • Personal and business growth.
  • Business development.
  • Customer analysis.
  • Testing & validation.
  • Customer acquisition.
  • Investment readiness.
  • Fundraising strategy.
  • Financial planning.

Curriculum Plan:

  • Week 1: Operations and Logistics of SMEs through the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Week 2: Financial Management and Planning in the Jordanian Market.
  • Week 3: Digital Marketing and Content Creation for Products & Services.
  • Week 4: Business Development and Digitalization of SMEs through the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Eligible businesses:

  • Based in Jordan.
  • Business must be viable and is 6 months - 2 years old (Both registered and unregistered companies can join the program).
  • Business Owners must have expertise and knowledge in their industry and show the motivation and skills needed to grow their business.
  • Businesses must be dealing with legally allowed goods and services.
  • Businesses must already have an existent Product/Service, which provides a solution to the community needs.

Selection Criteria:

Selection will focus on Syrians and vulnerable host community members who have the highest chance of succeeding in their respective businesses and commit to the business. both the owners’ skills and their company will be rated in this round in various aspects:

Economic Impact:

  • Potential viability of the business model.
  • Potentially profitable business.
  • Connectivity to the local needs and context.
  • Commercial and market perspectives.
  • Does the business idea bring something new to the Jordanian market?

Entrepreneur:

  • Knowledge of the market and commitment and willingness to take risks.
  • Ambition and grounded potential to grow its business in Jordan.
  • Relevant expertise with entrepreneurship and/or sector of the business idea.

Business Model:

  • Clarity; Is the SME promoting a clear and straightforward business model?
  • Stability; Is this a business that addresses a genuine need or customer demand?
  • Scalability; Is the SME capable of being scaled and duplicated with consistency?
  • Profitability; Is the SME cost structure has the potential opportunities to grow?

Additional Points:

  • Your business is in the agricultural or food industry or related fields.
  • Your business includes women in the company leadership, and if women are impacted or employed through your business.
  • Your business has a social impact or any contribution to society (I.e., economically, ecologically, or socially).

Competition Phases:

1. Apply:

Fill out the Application form before September 5th to join the program from anywhere in the Kingdom.

2. Selections & Interviews:

Jusoor will select Small Businesses to participate in the program by September 10th.

3. SME Bootcamp:

A month of training will start on September 15th. Participants will receive coaching to grow your businesses by advancing their skills in marketing, operations, and finance.

4. Business Accelerator:

Participants will receive mentorship to help grow their businesses from dedicated experts in their local industry between October – December (8 weeks).

5. Demo day:

Where the top businesses will get to present their business in front of investors, banks, and various support organizations in Jordan on December 21st.

6. Joining the Jusoor alumni network:

Upon graduation, all participants will be part of the Jusoor alumni network where they will get access to the latest opportunities and resources to grow your business.
