Al futtaim offers a job opportunity in UAE to work as a project engineer (BMS Sales) who will overall responsible for supervision of all allocated projects in line with the company / manufacturer’s standards and responsible for manpower planning, allocation, control the installation hours and complete the installation as planned. You will be responsible for quality installation by organizing the periodic inspections with client / consultants and final third party inspection without any snags and on-the-job training to the technicians and provide technical support for testing & commissioning.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  • Bachelor degree in electrical/electronics/instrumentation engineering.
  • Post-degree PLC/SCADA certification experience will be an added advantage.
  • 5 years’ experience with programming and configuring SCADA software packages, PLC platforms, Microsoft operating systems, OPC, SQL, and OLE clients and servers.
  • Proven knowledge and training on some of the common PLC/SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB etc.).
  • Familiar with the specifications, requirements, systems and components of the utility industry.
  • Experienced in structured programming, communication techniques and protocols.
  • Proven knowledge and training on some of the common PLC/SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB etc.).
  • Good understanding of district cooling system, ETS, chilled water system sequence etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of building management and lighting control system.
  • Extensive knowledge of electricity, electronics, and computers.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical construction tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Desire to learn new skills, move up, and accept increasing responsibilities.
  • Solid skills in creating and reading logic and flow diagrams and performing simulation, testing & start-up.
  • Analytic and structured personality.
  • Strong team-player with a positive attitude.
  • Used to understand and structure complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Organization and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  • Valid GCC driving license.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

  1. Design, Installation, testing & commissioning and handing over of SCADA PLC system.
  2. Perform the system maintenance as per the agreed KPI.
  3. Adhere to & ensure compliance with company HSE policy.
  4. Prevent un-safe activity by team member.
  5. Read & able to learn / interpret drawings, conduct site survey to determine the layout of system components, frameworks / foundations.
  6. Autonomous design, document, implement and maintain PLC/SCADA systems.
  7. Consult clients in designing PLC/SCADA architectures.
  8. Provide technical support to the sales team during presales stage.
  9. Support the development of the PLC/SCADA practices.
  10. Undertake continuous training and development.
  11. Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
  12. Develop and document SCADA and PLC programs.
  13. Supervise the construction of instrumentation and control systems.
  14. Troubleshoot, analyze, repair, report on, and recommend/ perform service of SCADA, PLC, instrumentation, motor controls, and process analyzers.
  15. Perform and document process instrumentation verification and calibration.
  16. Be a primary contact to assigned clients and report their needs, concerns, or requests to the project manager.
  17. Update drawings to reflect as-built conditions.
  18. Run and assemble coaxial, Ethernet, and serial cables.
  19. Measure voltage, resistance, and current of electrical circuits.
  20. Clean and organize assigned working areas and tools.
  21. Acquire material quotes and place orders from vendors as directed.
  22. Represent the company at project design and construction meetings.   
  23. Proficient in keeping records of reports.
  24. Ensure the quality of system performance.
  25. Ensure the commissioned system comply with specification and client requirements.
  26. Report to project manager regarding the quality issues arising at site.
  27. Ability to handle customer and satisfy customer needs.
  28. Implement procedures from project take-over stage to handing over to customer in a systematic way.
  29. Ability to quick learn & deliver training courses to subordinate about product and solutions.
