Siemens offers a data science internship at digital enterprise labs in Middle East. Siemens digital Industries is a leading innovator in automation and digitalization. You will join the Siemens digital enterprise team as the data science intern and help the company to develop applications based on artificial intelligence and drives digital transformation for process industry customers in Middle East.

Eligibility:

You must have:

Be a final year student in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
Some experience in data mining and machine learning.
Programming skills in Python and knowledge in databases, e.g. SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
Experience in using analytical tools and libraries for data analysis, e.g. Numpy, Pandas, sklearn, Keras.
Strong communication skills.
Enthusiastic and passionate for big data and data analytics.
The ability to work independently without supervision and contribute with the team.
Excellent English skills

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

Work with an international team of data scientists and other members of the team in order to solve real business problems.
Using machine learning, signal processing, optimization methods and relevant techniques and create data analytics solutions based on business requirements.
Presentation of data analytics results.
In the Scrum team you will work closely together with software engineers and domain experts in order to develop data analytics solutions for process industry and power generation.

About Siemens:

The Siemens Tram Consortium (STC) is currently building the flagship Tram system, called People Mover System (PMS) for Qatar Education City (QEC) in Doha/Qatar. The People Mover System (PMS) is the first low floor catenary-free tram system in the world. It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of super-capacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. It is manually operated on line of sight rules and the system is being designed in compliance with BO Strab regulations and guidance. There is 11 km of track serving both North and South Campuses of Education City and will employ 19 trams using the Avenio tram chassis by Siemens.
