Google is offering a job opportunity in Berlin, Germany as a Public Affairs Manager. As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you'll be part of a diverse global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You’ll combine creativity and intellectual rigor with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives. In this role, you’ll advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. You're passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how we use and build technology for everyone.

The Public Affairs team focuses on telling our story to decision makers and opinion formers, and building political capital that the policy teams use. Our work is based on three narrative pillars directed at key opinion formers: economic contribution, helpful products, and responsible stewards.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with working in Europe.
Experience with working on public affairs, strategic/political communications and/or tech policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, private sector, or relevant industry associations.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working with international teams and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience with executing strategies to deliver exceptional solutions.
Experience executing cross-functional projects.
Knowledge of Internet technologies and the policy environments that surround them.
Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent political, analytical and communication skills, with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Engage policymakers and key opinion formers by creating and implementing products, events and campaigns highlighting Google’s economic contribution and approach to responsibility online.
Work closely with marketing, communications, policy and Google.org to create integrated campaigns and KOF engagement moments, monitoring and researching current and relevant emerging policy issues.
Manage and implement programs focused on Google’s digital responsibility programs.
Lead for Public Affairs on driving activity in our Germany, Austria and Swiss markets and also provide support to the Central Europe market.
Support community engagement outreach in Munich and Berlin, working closely with our agencies to deliver against our program metrics.
