UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as UNFPA is looking for two qualified volunteers with experience in communication and reporting to support us with the reporting of an upcoming virtual workshop.

The Policy and Strategy Division is organizing a virtual workshop for field colleagues on the new United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) as well as Voluntary National Reviews processes. The Online Volunteers will join the organizing team to support with the communication and learning component of the workshop. Reporting and preparing the daily highlights/daily digest to be shared with participants from field offices within UNFPA worldwide. The work of the Online Volunteers is extremely important as the summary reports will be used by the comms team to develop a daily digest to help interactivity, engagement and knowledge sharing among participants of the virtual workshop. Also the final report the Online Volunteers are preparing will feed the content of the UNFPA E-resources toolkit on the Cooperation Framework that will be used by all Country Offices embarking the process. Their contribution will be recognized in the daily digest circulated among participants worldwide as well as in the E-toolkit. 

Volunteer duration and working hours:

20+ hours per week for overall 4 weeks. 

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Good writing, reporting and synthesis skills.
  2. Ability to communicate in English.

Volunteer duties:

  • The Online Volunteers will participate as rapporteurs in the 12 sessions of the virtual workshop, they will prepare daily summary reports to be shared with the comms team for posting and the final report for the entire workshop.
  • In total the two Online Volunteers are asked to: - prepare 12 summary reports (Approx) for 12 sessions of the duration on 1h30m - prepare 1 final summary report.
