The scholarship is to enable an Honours graduate to undertake study towards a Masters qualification in Clinical Psychology.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
be a domestic student in accordance with The University's Fee Policy; and
have commenced the program in the year of the award; and
be a graduate with an accredited Australian honours degree in psychology; and
not hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
How to apply
The award is adjudicated in August based on Semester 1 results. All Masters of Clinical Psychology students who meet the Eligibility criteria are considered.
Selection criteria
Selection for the award will be determined by the Head, in consultation with the Clinical Program Director.
Where possible, the award will alternate each year between a male and female student, except where the commencing cohort contains only one male or female student, in which case the award will be based on merit only.
The award will be determined in August of each academic year based on overall performance in Semester 1 of the relevant program in the following areas:
(i) overall grade point average of graded courses completed in Semester 1; and
(ii) overall result in clinical competency assessment in the first placement undertaken in Semester 1; and
(iii) supervisor report on clinical placement performance in first placement undertaken in Semester 1.
