Moonawards.com is offering Monochrome Photography Awards competition, and inviting each and everyone interested in photography to take part.
Competition rules:
- Monochrome Awards competition is open to professional and amateur photographers using all forms of black and white photography.
- Anyone over 18 years of age can enter the competition with the exception of employees of the Monochrome Awards, their associated companies and employees of any company chosen to sponsor prizes for the competition.
- By entering the Competition, you agree and acknowledge that the Monochrome Awards is permitted to receive your registration data.
- Monochrome Awards may publish any material you submit, post, upload, email or otherwise transmit to it or to the website at its sole discretion and it shall be entitled to make additions or deletions to any such material prior to publication.
- Any image submitted to the competition may be used by the Monochrome Awards, and its media partners, for marketing and promotional purposes of the competition only. You hereby grant the Monochrome Awards a non-exclusive, irrevocable license in each Entry throughout the world in all media for any use in connection with the competition.
- Only black and white photographs will be accepted to the contest. Toned images (like sepia, selenium, etc.) will be also accepted.
- Images may be captured using film or digital.
- There is no limit to the number of individual images each artist may submit.
- Images that have won prizes in other competitions or that have been submitted in other competitions currently underway are eligible.
- There is no time or date restriction on when the image was taken.
Awards categories:
Categories are in two sections - Professional and Amateur. The winners of the main categories listed below will compete for the titles: Monochrome Photographer of the Year (Professional) and Monochrome Discovery of the Year (Amateur).
Categories for both sections:
- Abstract.
- Architecture.
- Conceptual.
- Fashion / Beauty.
- Fine Art.
- Landscapes.
- Nature.
- Nude.
- Photojournalism.
- Photomanipulation.
- Portrait.
- Street.
- Wildlife.
Photos specifications:
- Photographs must be resized to 1000 pixels on the longest side. They must be saved as JPEG file (JPG).
- sRGB or Adobe98 colour space, 8-bit,
- saved as a JPEG at a setting of 10 (100%) or higher,
- no watermarks / copyright units / logos on images
- only bleed photographs without borders
- As for The filename must contain your full name, for example:
LastName_FirstName.jpg - Please do not include any characters such as @, $, #, as a part of the file name.
Entry Fees:
- Professional: 25 USD/Single Entry
- Amateur: 20 USD/Single Entry
Prizes list:
Win $3000 and international recognition in the prestigious Monochrome Awards honoring black and white photography.
The winners of the Professional and Amateur sections will receive the titles: Monochrome Photographer of the Year and Monochrome Discovery of the Year and cash prizes.
Each professional category winner will receive:
- Title photographer of the year in this category he/she participates in.
- Showcased at the online Winners Gallery
- Your work included in the Monochrome Photography Awards Annual Book.
- Winners logo and certificate
Each amateur category winner will receive:
- Title photographer of the year in this category he/she participates in.
- Showcased at the online Winners Gallery
- Your work included in the Monochrome Photography Awards Annual Book.
- Winners logo and certificate
Honorable Mention winners will receive:
- Showcased at the online Winners Gallery
- Your name included in the Monochrome Photography Awards Annual Book.
- Winners logo and certificate
About Monochrome Photography Awards:
Monochrome Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for professional and amateur photographers. Our mission is to celebrate monochrome visions and discover the most amazing photographers from around the world.
The winners of the Professional and Amateur categories will receive the titles: Monochrome Photographer of the Year and Monochrome Discovery of the Year along with cash prizes. We are open to all points of view, all levels of expertise, and all ideas of black and white photography.
