Aramex is looking for a talented Freight Operations Manager to join the team and work in Manama, Bahrain for 2020.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the station’s freight operations to ensure efficiency and to support commercial department achieving their targets and retaining or growing their freight customer base.
  2. Develop and maintain the relationship with customs authorities and related parties at all customs clearance points to assure a smooth operation flow.
  3. Develop and improve the relation with suppliers to assure getting best service with competitive pricing.
  4. Revise and finalize agreements with service providers (Airlines, carriers, trucking suppliers, etc.
  5. Ensure effective utilization of resources and manpower (Seamless operation, cost effective) and as per Aramex standards, with the highest efficiency through proper utilizing of assets and proper task assigning to team members, without compromising quality and standards.
  6. Enhance and improve clearance service with the best leading time, ensure duties collection as per set criteria, monitor daily duty payments to authorities.
  7. Manage, lead and improve freight team, insure providing proper and required training, creating successors, identify employees with high potential and propose career development plan in coordination with local HR.
  8. Ensure smooth collaboration with departments: HR, finance, commercial, express, logistics.
  9. Act as an Ambassador of the Aramex Values.
  10. Set KPI’s and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  11. Build the capability of the commercial and freight teams and provide updates for any new rules or regulations.
  12. Support the Commercial department and visit customers when needed.
  13. Facilitate the flow of information vertically and horizontally.
  14. Updating team’s job responsibility and assign them accordingly to talent, potential, skills…etc.
  15. Work on improving the organizational health and drive engagement within the team.
  16. Ensure passing required audits.

Qualifications:

  1. Active networking & building internal and external relationships.
  2. Effective communicator.
  3. Solid English communication skills.
  4. Clearance Experience is required, GCC preferred.
  5. Bachelor’s Degree in business, Logistics, or any related field.
  6. Performance driven, organized, proactive.
  7. Basic customer service skills.
  8. Ability to manage high workload.
