Ayn Rand Institute invites students interested in Objectivism and intrigued by the work of the Ayn Rand Institute to apply for it's internship at ARI’s office in Southern California. You’ll work on a variety of projects supporting the Institute, learn more about Rand’s books and ideas, and experience what it’s like to work at a nonprofit organization that has a philosophical mission.

Eligibility:

  1. Applicants must be undergraduates, graduate students or recent college graduates, from any discipline.
  2. Applicants must be 18 years or older at the start of the program to participate. Those who are under the age of 18 at the time of applying but who will be over the age of 18 when the program begins must provide written permission from a parent or guardian to apply.
  3. ARI does not provide financial compensation for the internship. As such, applicants must apply to an intern placement program such as the Koch Internship Program which provides a stipend or is willing and able to be an intern at ARI without financial assistance.
  4. Foreign applicants may apply. However, ARI is unable to sponsor visas for its internship program and is not able to provide advice about which visa if any an applicant may need to participate in the program. It is the applicant’s sole responsibility to ensure that he/she has the proper visa.
  5. The completion of the internship does not guarantee or imply future employment with ARI. Interns are not employees of ARI and therefore are not eligible for benefits or rights granted to the employees of ARI, including hourly wages.

Note: Previous interns have obtained visas through exchange programs like Cultural Vistas.

Funding:

Intern placement programs typically provide a stipend and additional benefits that supplement the internship experience at ARI. Interns most commonly come to ARI through the Koch Internship Program (KIP), but ARI welcomes interns from other placement programs as well.
