INTO and the University of Exeter offer academic scholarships for gifted and driven international students to help them achieve their goals of studying at a world-class university in the UK. With a range of generous scholarships on offer for the highest-achieving students, you could be eligible to receive up to £5,000 towards your tuition fees.

Do I qualify for a scholarship?

To find out whether you are eligible to apply, you’ll need to take a look at the requirements for each individual scholarship. If you are not eligible for one particular scholarship, there may be another that you can apply for instead. Please be aware that successful scholarship holders will be expected to:

  1. successfully meet all remaining conditions for entry to their chosen course
  2. maintain excellent attendance and complete all work during their course

What types of scholarship are available?

  1. Regional Scholarship: If you're starting an International Foundation, International Year One or Graduate Diploma pathway at INTO University of Exeter, you could be eligible for a scholarship towards your tuition fees.
    • Courses: International Foundation, International Year One or Graduate Diploma
    • Start dates: June 2019, September 2019, January 2020 or March 2020
    • Maximum value: £3,000
    • Eligibility: All scholarships are awarded on merit. Please contact the Educational Counsellor or Enrolment Services Advisor for further information.
  2. College Pro Vice-Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence: This £1,500 scholarship is awarded to the highest achieving International Foundation progressor to each of the University’s five colleges. There are 10 scholarships – five for the September intake and five for the January intake.
    • Course: International Foundation
    • Start dates: September 2019 or January 2020
    • Maximum value: £1,500
    • Eligibility: Students will automatically receive this scholarship if they are the highest achieving progressor from an International Foundation pathway at INTO University of Exeter to one of the University of Exeter's five colleges: (1) The Business School, (2) College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, (3) College of Humanities, (4) College of Life and Environmental Sciences and (5) College of Social Sciences and International Studies
  3. Engineering Award for INTO Academic Excellence: This scholarship is awarded to the highest achieving progressors from the International Foundation in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science and Physical Sciences at INTO University of Exeter.
    • Students will receive £5,000 towards their first year of university study and £1,500 for each subsequent year that they achieve 70% or above.
    • Course: International Foundation
    • Start dates: September 2019 or January 2020
    • Maximum value: £9,500
    • Eligibility: Students must progress to the College of Engineering, Maths and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter, but can progress to any BEng or MEng programme.

How much money is on offer?

The amount of money available through scholarships can vary. Remember that a scholarship will only cover some of your tuition fees. You will still have to fund your remaining tuition fees and your accommodation, insurance, visa and other living costs in full.
