The Arabic Language Center "Qalam wa Lawh" in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, announced its scholarship program for studying Arabic. The program aims to encourage students to study Arabic as a foreign language and reward those who excel in it.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Full Scholarships: All tuition and housing costs are covered throughout the duration of the program, with an approximate value of $ 420,000 for semester programs and $ 120,000 for winter and summer sessions.
  • Partial Scholarships: Tuition costs are covered throughout the duration of the program, with the approximate value of $ 2,450 for semester programs and $ 700 for winter and summer sessions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Applicants must write a 600-1,000 word essay answering “What do you hope to achieve through your study of the Arabic language?”
  2. Applicants must have completed a minimum of four University semesters in Modern Standard Arabic or equivalent study (at least 240 documented contact hours at a private institution).
  3. Applicants must have three written recommendations, including at least one from an Arabic Language Instructor/Professor. Recommendations should be addressed to the Scholarship Committee at Qalam wa Lawh. Applicants must provide graded transcripts documenting previous Arabic study.
