Al-Jazeera English channel has a vacancy for an Assistant Program Editor, at its headquarters in Doha.

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Media, Communication or other related fields.
5 years in an international newsroom.
Knowledge in Current Affairs.
Knowledge in global issues.
Knowledge in TV production and technology.
Must have excellent writing and video editing skills.

Responsibilities:

Assists the Program Editor in producing and putting news to air.
Assigns stories to producers.
Checks copy, video and all segments of the bulletins.
Must be meticulous in checking on-screen graphics and straps.
Must ensure all news stories are up-to-date, accurate and formatted correctly.
Liaise with the News desk, correspondents, producers, and presenters.
