Conrad is offering students between the ages of 13-18 the chance to become entrepreneurs and apply innovation, science and technology to solve problems with global impact through participating in Conrad Competition. Guided by teachers and industry experts, the competition becomes a master class in collaboration, creativity

Students develop skills needed to thrive in the 21st century workforce and bring to life innovations that have the potential to change life for the better on the individual, national and global levels. the Conrad Challenge is unlike any STEM competition out there. This isn’t a science fair. It’s an innovation competition that is creating the next generation of entrepreneurs who are going to change the world!

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Each Conrad Challenge team must consist of 2 to 5 students (ages 13-18).
  • Teams must have one team coach, who is at least 18 years of age.
  • Teams must consist of at least two team members. 
  • While team members may be removed, new members cannot be added once a team has submitted in Round 1: The Investor Pitch.
  • The team’s idea must be original work that has been developed as a group. 
  • Each team member and coach must read, and understand, the terms and conditions set forth in the competition rules & regulations. 
  • Registration of a team results in the agreement that the team and the coach will abide by all rules.
  • The competition is open to international participants.
  • Teams participating in the Challenge are aware and agree to pay the necessary funding to submit their content in Round Two ($399/team).
  • Teams selected to attend the Conrad Innovation Summit, are aware and agree to pay all costs associated with registration, travel and accommodations to attend.
  • Students who have competed in the past:
  1. May compete again, as long as they still meet the above eligibility and requirements.
  2. Must have made significant advancements or changes to a product, if they are opting to submit an innovation similar to what was submitted in a previous year.

Prizes:

  • A distinctive medallion and a Pete Conrad Scholar certificate from the Conrad Foundation

  • $15,000 per year scholarship to Clarkson University, for a total value of $60,000 over four years (This prize is offered to all Conrad Finalists.) 

  • $15,000 per year scholarship to enroll in the Jefferson University School of Design and Engineering
