UQ Business School offers 25% tuition-fee waiver scholarships to outstanding students commencing the MBA program each year. Scholarship applications are only open to new students each semester. The scholarship will entitle the successful applicant to receive a 25% discount on their course tuition fees for a maximum period of 24 months. If the scholarship recipient exceeds the 24-month time frame they become solely responsible for the full tuition cost of any and all remaining courses after the date specified in the scholarship offer. For scholarship holders who do not continue to meet all of the requirements of the program, the scholarship will be withdrawn and the student will not be eligible to re-apply for an MBA scholarship.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, you must meet the entry requirement to receive an unconditional offer for the MBA program.
You must be a new international student.
You must be a postgraduate business and economics student.
Scholarships are limited and awarded on a competitive basis. In their deliberations, the Scholarship Panel considers the applicants':
- academic merit.
- managerial experience.
- community involvement.
- personal statement responses.

Note: applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of the scholarship selection process within two months of the closing date. No late applications will be considered. Not every scholarship will be awarded annually.

About the Scholarship:

Many scholarships are offered for certain academic disciplines. These scholarships might be for students enrolled in a specific degree, school or faculty, or for students who are researching or studying a particular topic. Study area scholarships open and close throughout the year, so it’s important to regularly check which opportunities you might be eligible for. Scholarships might provide funding for tuition fees, living expenses, travel, and other costs. At UQ, they strongly believe that all students deserve equal access to education. Equity scholarships are designed to financially support students from low socio-economic, disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds. The UQ Academic Scholarships Program is their flagship undergraduate scholarship scheme. Three scholarships are offered in the program which are UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships, UQ Excellence Scholarships, UQ Merit Scholarships. At UQ, they know that finding a job goes beyond your degree, it’s also about all those soft skills that can’t be taught in classrooms, like life experience, people skills or attitude. That’s why they’ve developed the Employability Grant, which is designed to let UQ students enhance their employability through activities including exchange, global opportunities, entrepreneurial activities, and volunteering.
