The Lebanese Ministry of Culture conducts annually a poetry and short story competition for school and undergraduate students in both public and private sectors from age of 15 to 24 years, and in the three languages: Arabic, French, and English. The Ministry of Culture deals with archaeology, heritage, historical property, arts and literature, the results of thought, cultural industries and the management of the cultural property.

Competition Details:

Competition starts on 1 March and ends on 30 October each year. The competitions classified in November and December and will be sent to the judging committees in January next year. The results are announced in February of each year.

Competition Awards:

The awards and certificates for the 10 categories in a ceremony which is held for this purpose in the presence of the Minister of Culture. The Ministry prints the winning texts in a book distributed to the schools and universities participating in the competition and publishes a special brochure for the winners with their pictures and a profile of their hobbies and e-mail and telephone numbers and the name of the school or university to which they belong.
