Walt Disney is offering an internship opportunity with ABC Studios for individuals who are looking to break into the television field. ABC is a leader in the development, production and strategic distribution of entertainment content across television and emerging digital platforms. The studios are the key content provider for the ABC Entertainment Group, having produced multiple seasons of hit series, including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “A Million Little Things”, “Black-ish” and it’s a spinoff, “Grown-ish”. Internship location is Burbank, California.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. All candidates must currently either be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate within the last six months, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program, or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
  2. Academic cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US and must be at least 18 years old.
  4. Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  5. Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry, and awareness of ABC Studios Television shows.
  6. Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Willingness to work 40 hours/week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior internship experience in an office environment.
  2. Previous internship experience within a related field.

Responsibilities:

Support the teams involved in developing and overseeing new and current drama and comedy shows for ABC, CBS, Freeform, Amazon, Epix, and Hulu., through overtaking various responsibilities. include but are not limited to:

  1. Office organization and other administrative tasks – such as answering phones and scheduling.
  2. Script coverage and note-taking.
  3. Logging and organizing submissions.

Intern Will Learn:

  1. The development process of seeing an idea through to a pilot.
  2.  How the executives manage existing shows on a day to day basis.
  3. Get a closer look at the shows through set visits and table reads.

Funding:

All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
