Trent University in Canada offers a limited number of highly competitive international scholarships and awards to students eligible for admission to undergraduate studies.

These scholarships are divided into two main categories:

First: Entrance Scholarships with the automatic application:

Trent University Entrance Scholarships: All students applying to Trent are automatically considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships, awarded for academic excellence. These range in value from $1,000 to $3,000 and are non-renewable. Students with GPA of 95%+ get amount of $3000, and students with GPA between 90% - 94% get $2500, and with between 85% - 89% get $1500, and finally ones with GPA between 80% - 84% gets $1000.
IB Entrance Scholarships: All international students applying for admission to Trent on the basis of IB diploma are automatically considered for an IB Entrance Scholarship. Its amount is $1,000 and will be given in the first term of studies. This scholarship can be combined with the previous one.

Second: Trent International Scholarships and Awards (application-based):

Trent International Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards:

Awarded to entering international students who demonstrate:

Outstanding academic achievement.
Community service.
Leadership potential.
Some financial needs.

Scholarships and Awards partially fund tuition and ancillary fees at Trent in amounts between $2,000 and $24,000 per academic year (housing excluded). And these can be combined with both types of Entrance Scholarships.

Trent International Program Tuition Levy Scholarship: This scholarship is funded by Trent University students through an annual levy, and based on same previous scholarship criteria. It covers international tuition and ancillary fees of approximately $24,000 per academic year (housing excluded).
Trent-United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarships: Awarded to an international student entering Trent University from a UWC college who demonstrates same aforementioned qualifications. The value of the scholarship is determined upon assessment of financial need and may extend to cover international tuition and ancillary fees of approximately $24,000 per academic year (housing excluded).
Jack Matthews International Scholarship: Awarded to an international student entering Trent University from Pearson College of the Pacific, with the same eligibility criteria for previous ones. The value of the scholarship is determined upon assessment of financial need and may extend to cover international tuition and ancillary fees of approximately $24,000 per academic year (housing excluded).
Justin Chiu International Scholarships: Awarded to entering international students from Asia, based on the same criteria for the previous four scholarship programs.

Justin Chiu International Scholarships partially fund the costs of a Trent education in amounts between $3,000 and $15,000 per academic year.

Scotiabank International Student Awards: Dedicated to support students upon entrance to Trent University from countries in which Scotiabank operates internationally, and are based upon:

Academic excellence.
Extra-curricular involvement.
Leadership.

The value is up to $5,000 per academic year.

Maple Leaf Leadership Award: Awarded to an international student entering Trent University from a Maple Leaf Education System school, with the same qualification of first five scholarship programs within this section. The value of the award is $2,000 and is given on a one-time basis to a maximum of 5 students per year.
