This scholarship is awarded to assist financially disadvantaged students, with preference to students studying in the fields of music and physics.
It was established in 1974 with a fund of $5200 raised by public subscription in memory of Neil Mather Brice, DSc, who at the time of his death was Professor of Electrical Engineering at Cornell University, New York, USA. The fund is established for the purpose of granting out of the moneys thereof assistance to students suffering financial disability. Having regard to Dr Brice’s interests in the fields of music and physics, assistance will be given to eligible students studying in these fields in preference to other students.
This scholarship is open to students who:

Assistance will be granted on the basis of financial need.
Scholarship value : Approximately $1,000
Number awarded : On the recommendation of the Academic Registrar, Senate will determine the number of scholarships awarded in any year
