UN Volunteers is offering a great Online Volunteering opportunity in Translation from English into French. It is expected that all volunteers maintain high standards of behavior, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization. 

Responsibilities:

  •  Translate the toolkit from English into French.
  •  The toolkit has 136 pages and the online volunteer translator must maintain the structure and style of the original meaning while keeping the ideas and facts.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong writing and communication skills in both French and English.
  • Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect French. 
  • Interpret both youth peacebuilding terminology and colloquial language.
  • Previous experience in translating written materials online.
  • The online volunteer is expected to have professional translation experience in French, familiarity with the terminology of youth and peace and a professional approach to time and deadlines.

Duration:

6-10 hours per week / 9 weeks
