John Marshall Visiting Research Fellowship program 2018

The John Marshall International Center for the Study of Statesmanship at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond is accepting applications for the position of John Marshall Visiting Research Fellow for 2018-2019.

The Marshall Fellow will pursue his or her own advanced research in political economy as it relates to the theory and practice of statesmanship, and be in residence during academic terms at the Jepson School actively contributing to the intellectual life of the School and University through meaningful interactions with faculty and participation in Marshall Center programs.

Educational requirements: Ph.D. program in economics, history, philosophy, or political science.

Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but must have completed the Ph.D. in one of these fields by August 1, 2018. Applications for the fellowship are encouraged from those who have just finished or who are about to finish their doctoral dissertations.

Inaugurated in 1992, the Jepson School of Leadership Studies is an independent academic unit of the University and offers students the opportunity to major or minor in Leadership Studies. With the aim of educating students for and about leadership, the Jepson School offers an intellectually challenging liberal arts curriculum delivered by means of a rigorous and innovative pedagogy.

Candidates should  submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, one-page research plan, and writing sample; and provide the names and emails of three references.
