The Mandela- Rhodes Foundation intends to build up a new generation of young African leaders that are capable of promoting change in Africa. If you are considering applying for a master’s degree at a South African University and are eager to develop your leadership skills further, seize this opportunity and apply now!
The scholarship can be used for a two-years honours or master’s degree at a South African University starting in the fall of 2018. It includes the following benefits:
- Full tuition and registration fee
- Accommodation
- Food
- Learning materials
- Medical aid
- Travel costs from your home to the university
- Leadership development program throughout the two years
- A mentorship program to connect you with alumni and reflect on your experiences throughout the two years

[2] Information about your future and previous studies
[3] A picture of yourself
[4] A copy of your passport
[5] Your high school certificate
[6] A transcript of records and diploma of your Bachelor’s studies
[7] Your CV
[8] Your Personal Statement (maximum of 750 words)
[9] An essay about being a Mandela- Rhodes scholar (maximum of 750 words)
[10] Contact details of three recommenders
