The Vienna Graduate School of Population Genetics (Popgen) is offering PhD positions in one of many exciting topics such as the evolution of gene expression, mutations, and infections. Popgen is a part of the network of evolutionary biologists in Vienna (evolvienna) and hosts three other research institutions enabling students to make new connections and learn different approaches. Its laboratories are equipped with the most modern facilities and devices offering the best training possible.
The monthly salary is 2,045 EUR excluding taxes. Health insurance and social benefits are also included. The PhD positions start at the beginning of September.
Fill in the application form, which includes:
[1] A brief description of your research experience
[2] A brief description explaining why you chose those two research topics
[3] Your CV
[4] Your Motivation Letter with a statement of your research interests
[5] Your university certificate including grades
[6] A copy of your university degree that eligibles you for the PhD- position
[7] An indication of two preferred topics
[8] Two letters of recommendation (please have your letters of recommendation directly sent to Dr. Julia Hosp by your referees. You can use the referee request form.)
