Siemens announces a part-time IT internship opportunity in UAE. Siemens aims to increase the strength of solution and product development with world class SW development experts, with the vision to be the digitalization partner for company's global customers. It's looking for part-time working students who are willing to shape the future with the company in a 3 to 6 month contract.

Eligibility:

You must have:

Be 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student or master student in computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering or related areas.
Excellent command of English and must currently be based in the UAE and have a valid visa.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge about programming languages (ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL SERVER 2016+, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS, Javascript, Jquery).
Knowledge in object oriented programming, analysis, and design.
Ability to upgrade, configuring and debugging existing systems and applications.
Ability to provide technical support for web applications.
Ability to participate in requirements analysis.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
Ability to write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
Ability to test and deploy applications and systems.
Ability to revise, update, refactor and debug code.
Ability to improve existing software.
Ability to develop documentation throughout agile methods.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

Software development activities in the industrial domain, including design, implementation, documentation and testing.
Producing high quality project deliverables.
Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards, and guidelines.

About Siemens:

The Siemens Tram Consortium (STC) is currently building the flagship Tram system, called People Mover System (PMS) for Qatar Education City (QEC) in Doha/Qatar. The People Mover System (PMS) is the first low floor catenary-free tram system in the world. It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of super-capacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. It is manually operated on line of sight rules and the system is being designed in compliance with BO Strab regulations and guidance. There is 11 km of track serving both North and South Campuses of Education City and will employ 19 trams using the Avenio tram chassis by Siemens.
