The University of Miami is offering the Stamps Scholarship for undergraduate students. The Stamps Scholarship is the most prestigious merit award available to students at the University of Miami.
You must complete a full-time undergraduate program of study with no fewer than 12 credit hours during each of the fall and spring semesters for a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year.
A minimum of a 3.0 GPA for the academic year must be maintained at the University of Miami, with the initial calculation at the end of the second semester of attendance.
The award is subject to revision pending receipt of any grant, scholarship, or prepaid tuition and/or housing aid not anticipated at the time the award is made.
Stamps Scholars receive the full cost of attendance for four years of undergraduate study at UM.
The award includes:
On-campus housing.
A meal plan.
University health insurance.
Textbooks.
A laptop allowance.
Access to a $12,000 enrichment fund which may be used toward study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, conferences, leadership development, and other educational purposes mutually agreed upon by the University of Miami and Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.
Additional benefits of the Stamps Scholarship include being part of the Stamps Scholars on-campus and national communities, funding to support academic and scientific research projects, cultural and leadership programs, study abroad, conventions and other regional conferences, and invitations to online events and networking opportunities.
Selected candidates for the Stamps Scholarship are invited to participate in the Scholarship Weekend at the University of Miami in the spring.
During this two-day weekend program, candidates will meet with UM faculty and current scholars and learn more about our interest-driven education.
After the weekend, a selection committee identifies finalists whom they recommend to receive the Stamps Scholarship based on the students' overall achievement and performance during the weekend.
Finalists participate in an additional interview with the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.

Request that official scores be sent to the University directly from the testing agency.
Self-report their scores on the Common Application. You will not need to Superscore your own results or recalculate your scores. Simply enter your scores exactly as you receive them. Students self-reporting scores will be required to submit official score reports only if they are admitted and choose to enroll.

Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation are required: one from a high school guidance counselor and one from a teacher
If you are applying to any of the programs below, complete the supplemental application, submit a portfolio, and/or schedule an audition.
Bachelor of Architecture - Portfolio required if not submitting ACT/SAT scores
Dual-Degree Programs - Supplemental Application Required
Frost School of Music - Audition Required
Health Professions Mentoring Program (HPM) - Supplemental Application
Theatre Arts B.F.A. - Supplemental Application
Educational Activities: If you have a time gap of three months or more during your educational career or from the time you graduated high school to the date of your intended University of Miami enrollment, you must submit an Educational Activities statement explaining the reason for the gap(s) and include the dates.
