The Kennedy‐Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program invites high school students from several countries in the Middle East to apply for this exchange program, an opportunity to study for one academic year in the U.S., serve as “youth ambassadors” of their home country, and promote mutual understanding by forming lasting relationships with host families and communities. Participants will live with a host family, attend an American high school, acquire leadership skills, engage in activities to learn about U.S. society and values, and help educate Americans about their home country and culture.
The exchange program covers all major expenses including airfare, room and board, health insurance, pocket money, and education supplies.
Fill out the application form, including the following documents, and submit them online to lebanon@amideast.org or deliver them in person to AMIDEAST or send them through your school or mail them to the following address: AMIDEAST PO BOX 11-2190, Beirut 1107 2100:
[1] An official transcript of school grades of the last three years (preferably in English)
[2] A current passport-size photo
[3] A copy of your Lebanese or residency ID
