An Opportunity to Participate in Short Film Festival in Indonesia to Win Valued Prizes

Film Freeway opened applications for the Pelita Harapan University (UPH) Film Festival and UPH Film Week. These events are always free to enter and opened for the public. 

There are two types of event:

  1. UPH Film Festival: This festival spotlights the work of young Filmmakers and it takes place at Cinemaxx Theatre, Maxxbox Lippo Karawaci, highlighting incredible works of new young directors from different universities. Indonesian filmmakers face many barriers in getting their work seen. That's why at this festival they focus on bringing short films to screen, allowing the audience to discover new perspectives.
  2. UPH Film Week: This is a weakly Screening & Discussion Programme. Submission is open all year.

Awards & Prizes:

  1. UPH Film Festival:
    • Best Narrative Short
    • Best Documentary Short
    • Best Animation Short
    • Audience Choice Award
  2. UPH Film Week:
    • Screen the winning film. If your film has been selected, you will know at least 30 days before screening.
    • Printed Certificates send to filmmakers.
    • Screening Reports including Photograph.

Rules & Terms:

  1. Open for all people.
  2. UPH Film Festival submission is free.
  3. Film's quality must be at least 1080p.
  4. Films must be 25 minutes maximum.
  5. English subtitles must be provided for a film that uses more than two languages.
  6. Copyrighted content must be cleared before submission.
