Youth Eyes on Silk Roads Photography Competition from UNESCO 2019

UNESCO, through its Headquarters in Paris, France, is organizing a free-of-charge photography contest called Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads, with the theme "Reveal the Silk Roads". Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads photo contest offers young participants an international, virtual space. They may freely express themselves while sharing their personal vision, thoughts, and ideas regarding their common heritage of the Silk Roads.

The Silk Road:

Human beings have always moved from place to place and traded with their neighbors, exchanging goods, skills, and ideas. Throughout history, Eurasia was criss-crossed with communication routes and paths of trade, which gradually linked up to form what is known today as the Silk Roads; routes across both land and sea, along which silk and many other goods were exchanged between people from across the world. Maritime routes were an important part of this network, linking East and West by sea, and were used for the trade of spices, in particular, thus becoming known as the Spice Routes. Follow the link for further information.
