Institution: Thomara Latimer Cancer Foundation
Purpose: To aid African-American students in Michigan who are preparing for careers in medicine or a related field.
Eligibility: Applicants must be African-American students between the ages of 17 and 30, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be Michigan residents who are enrolled at or have been accepted to an accredited postsecondary institution. They must be studying or planning to study allied health, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assisting or a related subject. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
