The Association for education Mladiinfo International in the frames of the project Towards Social Economy: Young Social Innovators as Forerunners of Positive Change in V4 and WB6 co-financed by the Governments of Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund, announces the call for application for one (1) co-researcher from the WB6 countries for production of the policy research “Social Economy as a Main Driver of Economic and Social Development in the Western Balkans and Visegrad Region”.

The project aims to explore the current developments of social economy in the two regions, in the light of EU enlargement, to analyze the WB potential for economic and social development, as well as to contribute to human capital development and talent acquisition of youth in the two regions that are facing worrisome brain-drain rates. The project will further advocate for improved policy measures and action plans in V4 and WB6, creating an enabling environment for sustainable development and promoting V4 accomplishments in the social economy.

The co-researcher will work in a team with another researcher from the Visegrad countries selected by the project consortium composed of 10 partner organizations coming from Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland.

In cooperation with the other researcher and Mladiinfo International, the co-researcher will:

1) Create online questionnaires for the young social entrepreneurs and the semi-structured interview for stakeholders, and conduct an analysis of the primary research information and data.

2) Produce the final text of the policy research following the previously agreed methodology and structure with Mladiinfo.

3) Coordinate the research, and actively collaborate with the other researcher, as well as with the rest of the project partners, interviewees, and stakeholders.

4) Consult existing research and policy, and additional literature in the field of social economy.

5) Keep regular communication and coordination with the Mladiinfo International team in all phases and aspects of the research.

The detailed methodology and structure of the research would be agreed in detail with the Mladiinfo International team.

Approximately 40-50 pages of text (introduction, executive summary, case-studies, recommendations, literature). The policy briefs are expected to be around 2-4 pages (approx. 1500 words counting bibliography).

The interested applicants should have:

1) Extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods;
2) Interest, professional experience and expertise in the field of social economy and/or related fields;
3) Experience in research and policy in the field of social economy on European and/or regional level or similar research in the topic of the social economy or/and related topics is desired;
4) Working proficiency in the English language;
5) Ph. D. or Master’s Degree in social sciences would be considered as an advantage.

The duration of the job position is three months, from 20th of March until 20th of June 2020. The chosen candidate will receive compensation for the work.
