Anantara is looking for qualified Project Engineer to join the team and work in the Maldives for 2020-2021. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out instructions from the Director of Engineering as appropriate.
  2. Contribute ideas to finding solutions to daily project related problems and action as appropriate.
  3. Update project schedules on a monthly basis
  4. Assist the DOE in the preparation of Bill of Quantities for small and major resort projects.
  5. Daily site supervision of all projects.
  6. Ensure project costs are maintained according to approved Capex budget.
  7. To assist the DOE in the preparation of material lists for all Projects.
  8. Maintain communication with the Engineering storekeeper to ensure project material requirements are fulfilled.
  9. Follow up with purchasing department for pending urgent orders from both local and international suppliers.
  10. Assist the DOE to maintain communication with Structural/MEP consultants for necessary government approvals.
  11. Preparation of architectural drawings for small resort projects as requested by the DOE.
  12. Ensure the Engineering office is clean and always in a good hygienic standard.
  13. Assist the Director of Engineering in preparing project schedules and supporting documentation on his/her guidance.
  14. Assist the Director of Engineering in preparing Capex and supporting documentation on his/her guidance for resort projects.
  15. Weekly inspection of project areas with the DOE to ensure they are clean, tidy and in a safe working condition for project team members.
  16. Ensure any disputes which may arise within the department are reported to the Director of Engineering or Asst. Chief Engineer, so that the issue is dealt with in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  1. Excellent communication skills.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar post in hotel industry.
  3. Holding a degree/diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  4. Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently.
  5. Has strong decision making abilities and able to work in long hours.
